Blog 1... Susan Atkins

For anyone who doesnt know. Susan Atkins was one of the followers of Charles Manson. Her and two other people stabbed seven people to death on Charles Mansons orders. Linda Deutsch reports that she has died while in prison. The article is on Yahoo.com.. Here is the adress:

There was a debate on whether the parole board should have let her out of jail while she was dying of brain cancer. I completely agree with their decision against it. She and her other cult members killed seven people in cold blood. They described it in detail on the time of their arrest in 1969. One of the people was the famous actress Sharon Tate, who was pregnant with her son. People that can do that should not be let out of jail. Atkins showed those people no mercy or compassion, so why should she be shown any in return. I dont care if the person was brain washed or not. It doesnt and shouldnt matter. I think that it was the correct decision to not let Denise Atkins out and give her a chance. She did not give Sharon Tate or the other six people that they killed,a chance. Good Job to the parole board. I feel like the system didnt fail on that one. The only question for me is whether they should have still given them the death penalty when it was reinstated in California in 1977. I think that they should have. All they are doing is waisting tax payers money on people who obviously dont care about us. It may be harsh but sometimes it needs to happen.
